Like any of the other major forms of expression authors and animators also took to expresses and comment on the world around them. During the Cold war Authors particularly took to questioning the state of the war and the logic and foundation for it. Many authors like Kurt Vonnegut believed that there was a predominant fallacy to Cold War logic, that people were operating under a false sense of moral superiority based on relativity. Yet there is still a blend of those who supported the Cold War, and supported american supremacy, while others questions our actions and motives.

The Crucible by Arthur Miller: 1953
The Crucible is a play by american playwright Arthur Miller, that was written in 1953. The story is based in the Massachucettes Bay Colony during the 1600's. The plot is a partically fictionalized account of the Salem Witch Trials. The summary link is found below:

Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank 1959
One of the first nuclear apocolypic novels, Alas, Babylon has a very distinct message about Cold War Life. a full summary can be found below:
