Cold War for Children
Children too were exposed to elements of the Cold War, however the message was tailored and slightly more senstive to fit its audience. In this portion of the Webquest you will be looking at artifacts and aspects that children could have come across in their daily life such as video shorts, toys, and books. Using the following process steps, analyze how the Cold War was presented to children and the different mediums through which this was done.

In order to complete the Webquest for this section follow the steps below:
1. Go through the Cold War themed toys slideshow, it contains 11 images, most of which have captions. After reading the captions included and looking at the images, visit the site link for further explanation of the toys for clarfication.
2. Once you are familiar with the toys, and what they are, answer the following questions:
4. First watch the Civil Defense Administrations video of Bert the Turtle, and read the short article that is linked in the button. After you have watched the video and read the article answer the following questions.
